Ecoexist X Beabond
Introducing a new piece of jewellery to the Ecoexist x Beabond collection; an elephant necklace handcrafted in 14K recycled gold, lime green enamel with a once cent Botswana diamond. Today and all year round we are donating 100% of profits to Ecoexist supporting human-elephant coexistence.
We first launched our Ecoexist x Beabond collection in 2020 with our elephant bracelets supporting human-elephant coexistence. It’s one of the ways we can help to protect an endangered species as well as Africas last remaining wetland wilderness and a world UNESCO Heritage Site.
To date we have raised more than 2,500 Euros which Ecoexist has invested in solar batteries meaning that their HQ in the Okavango Delta is solar powered.
Ecoexist Trust a not-for-profit NGO in Botswana whose mission is to foster coexistence, they have a truly holistic approach to conservation; “If you really want to save wildlife, you have to better the lives of the people who live with the animals” says Dr Graham McCulloch, Co-Founder and Director of Ecoexist Trust.
What is Green Friday?
Green Friday is ‘A Conscious, Sustainable and Committed Alternative to Consumption’. It’s a movement where businesses donate a percentage of purchases to climate causes or encouraging slower shopping. This year there have been more businesses supporting Green Friday, which is not surprising as it comes shortly after COP26.
Last month world leaders, climate activists and experts congregated in Glasgow at COP26, discussing this year’s main goals of achieving a world net-zero by 2025 and creating a strategy to improve the lives of those already affected by climate change predominantly in the global south.
Leaders used this year’s meeting to discuss the planet’s ‘green recovery’ in more detail than ever before and thousands of youth marched the streets outside the conference calling for change with stages filled with with clear messages that we all need to come together ‘as citizens’ to coexist on our planet at this critical time.

The Truth about Black Friday
Black Friday is one of the biggest shopping events of the year originating in America but now an international sales event. Each year the sales weekend follows Thanksgiving Day, but it comes at a cost to the environment, causing pollution, waste and excessive consumption that is bad for our wellbeing.
Sales can be stress-full and a recent survey revealed that 30% of customers regretted their fast fashion purchases.
Last year in the UK consumers spent £7.95billion on Black Friday.
Carbon emissions from online shopping alone in 2020 produced 429,000 tonnes of carbon - the equivalent of 435 flights between London and New York.
80% of all ‘Black Friday Buys’ ends up in land fill.
