Our Trip East
WIDE OPEN SPACES: OUR TRIP EAST
We traveled to the eastern most point of Botswana to Tuli Nature Reserve. Surrounding ourselves in the wilds of Mother Nature and letting her beauty inspire us.
THERE IS NOTHING QUITE SO MAGICAL as the wide open spaces of Africa, our journey took us to Tuli in eastern Botswana — from the rocky outcrops, to the grass-covered plains leading to the rivers. I knew this would be the perfect place to connect to nature and have an adventure; with crisp, chilly mornings and warm, sun-filled afternoons and sunsets that stay with you forever.
Tuli is known as the ‘land of giants’ because of the ancient boulders that have formed along the Limpopo fault line. It’s also home to some of natures giants including Verreaux eagles, (which are closely related to Golden eagles) and elephants.
It was so inspiring to travel with our children, in this place filled with animals, inspiration and magic. We learned so much about the rhythm of nature first hand. The perfect place to honour, its why we named our dress Tuli!
Ending the weekend on the river, the perfect place to watch sunset, these are memories I will cherish forever.
